July 19th WOD

Strength. 

8-5-5-3-3-1 Deadlift

followed by

EMOM 10 (every minute on the minute for 10 minutes)
7 Shoulder Press (95/65)

  1. 135-155-175-185-190. Meh. Could have done about 5 more pounds if I had someone yelling at me! I am stuck in a DL rut but not sure how to get over the hump! 1 set of shoulder press at 65, 2 at 55, then the rest at 50. couldn't continue to do them straight without push pressing!

      Shoulder Press was hard and sad! I think I did 3 rounds at 45 with a couple push press and then my sad shoulders had to go down to 35... ouch!

  2. I feel you. We did 3x5 DL yesterday and I watched women reach over 200. I only hit 185 (and #3 was ugly!). Made me realize I've been doing one too many metcon and hotel no equipment wods :)
    We should start 5-3-1 together and keep each other accountable....

  3. Heather, YES I want to do 5-3-1 but i dont have a bench...so I cant do bench press... program it for us!

    8,5,5,3,1,1,1 Not exactly how I was supposed to but I didn't have it written down in front of me.

    125, 155, 175, 195, 205, 215, 215

    Jim was my coach in the garage. He kept saying I had 225 in me, but I'm just not there yet. 215 was a killer! Thats my max and it was a new PR! Yea!

    Then I did 7 rounds of 7 Presses. Again, I didn't have the WOD in front of me, I just did what I thought was posted. Oops. I only did these at 45lb and had to push press toward the end.
